I am so grateful that my Mom is at Ivy Park in Monterey. It’s obviously a first class living facility with excellent rooms and food. But it is the people that make it amazing. Celeste Torres, who is in charge of the area with full care is incredible. She hires employees that have unlimited amounts of love and kindness. They treat Mom so kindly and never tire of helping her. It is truly a special place!
If I could give this memory care facility 0 stars, I would. Don't get me wrong, it is a very nice assisted living place with nice apartments and common areas. However, the memory care facility deserves 0 stars. My father who suffers from Alzheimer's entered the facility in early November. The staff at the memory care unit failed to give him his medications for 24 hours. After being without his meds, he had a psych episode and was taken to the hospital where he spent 3 weeks recovering from this experience. He is currently well taken care of in a residential care facility.
A good place to hang around
